What is important to me is that no matter if you use it for summer or winter mountaineering, this alpine harness will always suits my needs. The harness is very slim and packable yet doesn’t bite into you while hanging. . It’s comfortable to wear all day ski mountaineering or lightweight easy alpinism but if I’m doing a route with hanging belays or a pitched climbing I will take a Sitta harness instead. While it’s not as plush or comfortable as a traditional harness, it’s surprisingly comfortable for its weight. Even with lightweight hiking trousers, I've never found it to be uncomfortable. In terms of comfort, the Altitude is hardly noticeable.
